Is there such a thing as a healthy dose of delusion?

I've been seeing this all over social media in recent weeks.

Everyone's calling it delulu. Even one of my dermatologists

here in Miami, he did a post saying that he was completely DeLulu opening his practice here

in Miami without doing any research. So one of my dermatologists, I have a few here in Miami.

He came from Canada, set up his office in Miami, and luckily for him and his team, it's taken off.

He's really good. He cares about his people. He takes great care of us. And he's thriving, right?

Under his leadership, this practice is thriving. And what he shared in

his post, because I think it was like his five-year anniversary or something, was that he's like,

I was completely delulu. I didn't know how many derms Miami had. I didn't know X, Y, Z. I didn't

know. I didn't know. I didn't know. But I did just trust that I could add value.

I care about skin.

I care about the work that he does.

He is passionate about.

He said, I care so deeply about my work.

That was enough.

And what's so interesting is like this word delusion, delulu.

Some people say it's the salulu, meaning delusion is the solution in terms of getting what you

want. And I want to share my thoughts today on it because I do know this. Reality does bend to people

who act on invisible evidence, right? Wayne Dyer wrote this incredible book called, you'll see it when

you believe it. Right. Often we think it's the other way around, we're like, oh, I'll believe it
