And we're all leaders as well. So the last episode, we cut our TV special in half here. So I did my opening and then we talked to William Wolfe, who's the director for the Center for Baptist Leadership. He was great.

Now let's get a Old Testament perspective, what we would call the Old Testament, what they call the Tanakh, from Rabbi Pinkus Taylor.

And then we'll tell the story of Cora.

And we'll go right to, like the Bible's pretty clear.

Like it just first Timothy three just like the list of like 20. Like it just, First Timothy three just, like,

the list of like 20 things. So we'll just go over the list about what we should look for in our

leaders, but again, what we should strive to be ourselves as well. Welcome back to our

special politics by faith, the death of Pope Francis.

We are using this opportunity, this moment, to talk about what proper biblical leadership should

look like.

What does the Bible say about our leaders and also, of course, us?

Glad you're here. Let's go back to the very beginning.

What does the Tanakh say, what Christians would call the Old Testament?

What does God say about what we should be looking

for out of our leaders? I think the first and foremost thing that is as a leadership quality

is the quality of humility. And the Bible teaches us to lead with humility, not with hierarchy. On the one hand,

the first five books of the Bible are called the five books of Moses, what we call the

Torah. The five books of Moses, yet at the same time, the book of numbers says that Moses was

most exceedingly humble.
