Now, Sean and I go back 37 years.

So one night during college, my rock band was playing at a local dive bar called the 712 Club.

And Sean came up from the audience and sat in on guitar and he ripped it.

And the rest was history.

So we were inseparable for decades in numerous ill-fated bands and a few successful-ish businesses. We co-founded Valour Recordings, a New York City-based indie record label, and then spent a

decade scheming, dreaming, and teeming up on wanderlust, a series of yoga and wellness festivals

that spread like a virus around the globe.

Now, Sean is the founder and CEO of a new large-scale health and longevity event in West Palm

Beach, Florida, called Eudamonia.

Sean and I regularly engage in deep meandering conversations about the interrelationship

between the wellness industry, culture, and politics.

And today's conversation is reflective of a chat that we might have at the dinner table

over a bottle of wine when we used to drink wine.

And in that way, it's extremely candid and at times

borderline politically incorrect. But I think it's representative of conversations that many of us are

having right now in this thorny and complicated moment. Sean and I discuss the erosion of tried and true liberal models for

truth finding and the difficulty in delineating between fact and fiction. We talk about the misaligned

incentives of social media and how that contributes to flaming the fire of social polarization.
