His sister Martha was devastated,

and her first reaction was to blame Jesus,

who appeared at their home far too late to heal him,

or so she thought. Chuck begins with prayer. I pray father that many will believe when they hear this story. I pray that as a result

their lives will change. I pray that you will remind us that you are the God of our lives and though

things at the time they are recurring don't seem to make sense, you are engaged in them.

You have a plan that is often beyond our comprehension and our ability to explain.

You are at work and on this resurrection Sunday we have the most vivid reminder of all in the greatest miracle of the New Testament when we find recorded our Savior's deliverance from death, victory over sin, and miraculous return in bodily form to this earth.

Thank you in advance, Father, for your message today.

May the story take flight in our lives.

May we see ourselves woven through the fabric of these lines.

And rather than focusing only on Martha,

Mary, and Lazarus, may we think about our own lives, our own families, our own friends who are sick, our own needs.
