conversation tonight, God willing, it happens. There was like a couple power outages in the

neighborhood because of some inclement weather, but we're just going to move forward in faith

and pray for the

best and see what happens. So yeah, let me get right into it. For those of you that don't know

already, I was involved in New Age for almost a decade. And basically the entire premise of New Ageism and just all this arbitrary spirituality is that

you have to climb some esoteric ladder to enlightenment in order to achieve the highest version

of yourself and align with source sort of ideology where you are just like a fragmented piece of the universe

and we're all ultimately trying to get back to the totality of the universe. And so we have to do

all this work here as we're incarnated on planet Earth in order to make that possible. And a part of

that narrative is shadow work. So shadow work is

popular not only in New Ageism and spirituality, but also in the world, like really into

psychotherapy. That's where it comes from, actually. Its roots are in psychology. But Carl Young, who is the

author of this doctrine, was super into the occult as well. So it's sort of like the best of both worlds.

I use air quotes with that in the sense that it marries the secular to the spiritual. But that's also why it's so dangerous

because it doesn't only appeal to one or the other it actually appeals to both
