0:09.1	Notice there these words, the people refused to enter the pleasant land, for they wouldn't believe his promise to care for them.
0:19.0	Instead, they grumbled in their tents and refused to obey the Lord.
0:25.5	We're talking today simply from the subject, the dangers of grumbling. The dangers of grumbling.
0:34.2	This is the very God who had brought the children of Israel up out of the land of Egypt,
0:39.6	out of the house of bundage, out of slavery, out of not having enough,
0:46.1	and he's in the process of taking them to a promised land.
0:51.3	And somehow the impatience of the people, the unbelief of the very people that had already witnessed
1:01.3	all of the ten miracles of God miraculously delivering them out of Egypt, out of slavery,
1:09.3	out of bondage, and now in their impatience they don't have enough
1:14.2	faith and trust in God to believe that God will be able to take them to the land of
1:19.2	promise. And so they grumbled in their tent and they refused to obey the Lord. This is
1:27.3	about the dangers of grumbling. It's interesting that the ESV, the
1:32.3	English standard version of the Bible, says that the children of Israel despised the promised land,
1:38.8	the pleasant land. They despised it. When you despise something, it means that you minimize it or that you make little of it.
1:48.0	You despise. When you despise someone, you make little of that particular thing. But I want you to
1:54.3	realize that the real root of despising is disbelief. And disbelief eventually turns into dissatisfaction. And dissatisfaction can
2:07.6	degenerate into becoming disgruntal. And being disgruntal manifests in being disrespectful.
2:15.2	And being disrespectful deteriorates into being disobedient, and then disobedience
2:22.8	results in being denied. And this is the journey that the children of Israel went on. They started
2:30.1	out despising that led to their disbelief, that led to their dissatisfaction, that led to
2:35.8	their disgruntled, that led to that disrespect, that disrespect led to their disobedience,
