I bear witness that there is no God but Allah, there is no God but Allah.

the very first recorded sin that we have in our history

was the sin of Iblis.

And what was the sin of Iblis?

Allah explicitly mentions in the Qur'an,

he was arrogant and refused.

And because of this he became of the ungrateful.

In today's Khutbah, I want to remind ourselves of the dangers of arrogance

and of the importance of humility.
