| 0:00.0 | Hey, good morning family. Welcome to Harris Creek. Good to be with you all on Sundays. Okay. All right. Summer energy. Good to be with you guys. Hey, so three years ago, almost to the day, this is going to feel like a hard turn. My wife was diagnosed with breast cancer. She's okay. She's three years in the clear. So we're in good shape. Thank you. |
| 0:21.6 | But when that diagnosis hit, like it stopped us on our tracks. |
| 0:29.3 | We called our life group. |
| 0:30.4 | We were in live in Dallas at the time, and we let everybody know, |
| 0:34.2 | and JP immediately made a B-line for our house, not even being in Dallas, like straight, |
| 0:41.1 | straight to the house. And he did one thing right and he did one thing wrong. You know, |
| 0:45.0 | cancer diagnosis, that's a tenuous situation. So I'm sure he's, you know, kind of lost in his |
| 0:50.1 | thoughts. But the thing that he did right, like he just like busted through the door |
| 0:54.8 | holding this big bouquet of flowers, which is so right, like so kind, so gracious. The thing that |
| 1:01.1 | he did wrong is he walked through the wrong door. He walked into the wrong house. Good |
| 1:09.1 | intentions, right action. So what he was met with instead of seeing us, J.P.'s a big dude. |
| 1:15.3 | Like, I mean, he's probably not physically intimidated by many. |
| 1:19.4 | He said this guy, like, stood up from a couch and, like, looked at him, like, what are you doing in my house? |
| 1:25.7 | Nonverbally, of course. |
| 1:27.2 | Then J.P. said that this dog, and he made sure, |
| 1:30.8 | I was like, hey, can I tell that story? He's like, make sure you say it was a Rhodesian Ridgeback, |
| 1:34.9 | which is a lion killer of a dog. A Rhodesian Ridgeback, I said it, turned the corner, like, |
| 1:42.7 | hair bristled on its back, snarling, and like inching towards |
| 1:46.6 | him. He wanted to make sure it wasn't something like teacup poodle that, you know. |
| 1:50.8 | So he just says, he's like holding out the flowers and backing up towards the door. |
| 1:57.2 | This is called breaking and entering, no matter if you have flowers, you can't be there. |
| 2:03.0 | This guy knew and was like looking at him, like, get out of my house. |
