Hey, Coach Creek, how we doing? Let's go, let's go. Monica, my wife and I have been married for almost 20 years, 20 years in September, and I'll start by just sharing kind of how that happened. And so we had been dating. Neither of us were following Jesus. And we came to a place. We had dated for years, which I don't recommend, wrote a book about it.

And we dated, we were dating for years. We came to a place where we both took our faith serious,

wanted to follow Jesus. And I'm like, man, taking your face serious and dating is really hard.

And so we should get married. Here's kind of really what was going through. She was my

best friend's sister. And that's how I met her. And I'm like, gosh, if we break up, you know,

I love her family, my best friend, like, it's going to be really messy. We should just get

married, you know. And so, and so I can remember even telling her the day of the wedding. I'm like,

hey, if you change your mind on this deal, like, just go through with it. Don't leave me hanging up

there. Like, you just go through with it. We'll undo it afterwards if we need to, but don't,

you know, wow, judgment this morning. Okay, it's down to judge.

I'm just being transparent and vulnerable up here,

and you guys are judging me, came all here, judgy.

But just to kind of show you a picture of what our state of commitment look like.

And so here's a picture of us on our wedding day.

Just telling you, like, that's what was going on in our lives.

But here's the reality.

We went through with it.

Year one was amazing.

It was the honeymoon.
