Today on Searchlight, we are going to consider the story of a sleepy young man.

His name is Eudicus, and we find his story in Acts chapter 20.

He is listening to Paul preach a very long sermon and gets a bit drowsy.

And his drowsiness can speak to us today.

This is because we also can get a bit drowsy spiritually from time to time.

Let's now join Pastor John and learn the danger of drowsiness.

Acts chapter 20, verse 7.

And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow, and he continued his speech until midnight.

Oh. And there were many lights in the upper chamber where they were gathered together,

and there sat in a window a certain young man named Uticus,

being fallen into a deep sleep.

And as Paul was long preaching, Eudacus sank down with sleep and fell down from the third loft and was taken up dead.
