The Hello listeners and welcome back to part two of the Dandy Family Haunting.

Clara called the church again but this time they referred her elsewhere. The case had come to the attention of Father Alphonse's Trebold, a Franciscan priest and a theology

professor at the nearby Bonaventure University.

He had experience with spiritual phenomena. He was both a priest and

a parapsychologist. He agreed to meet with the dandies and conduct an initial visit to the home.

Clara would describe him as kind but clinical. He brought notebooks, equipment. He didn't flinch when she described the lamp flying across the room.

He listened, wrote things down and promised to return.

On his second visit, he brought two students,

assistants from the university's Paras Psychology Group.

They stayed in the home for several hours, taking notes, measuring temperatures and observing

behaviour.

But at one point, while standing in the kitchen, one of them reportedly turned pale and asked

to leave.

She claimed she felt something pressing on her chest.

Father Trebold noted the incident carefully.

Clara was relieved because for the first time outside their family, someone else had felt it.

Shortly after Father Trebobol brought in more help.

The dandies were put in contact with investigators including Paul Kenyon, a paranormal researcher who had been involved in documenting hauntings across the north-east.

Kenyon visited the home several times over the next few months.

He took photographs, recorded interviews.

He saw the effect the house was having on the family.
