Yesterday the Supreme Court handed down its shocking new ruling in the case involving

Donald Trump's demand for absolute immunity from prosecution for crimes related to his insurrection attempt.

The court gave Trump some of what he wanted, ruling that official acts stemming from the

President's core constitutional powers have absolute immunity from prosecution after the presidency.

Other official acts have presumed immunity, while personal or unofficial acts do not enjoy such protections.
