Thanks so much for being here.

If you're new to the podcast, I myself have lost 125 pounds.

0:17.9

It took me a year and a half to lose all that and I have kept it off with the exact

0:22.4

same weight I do now is when I lost the weight, which is actually, honestly, I think I'm more

0:28.4

proud of that than of the weight loss itself. Like, I know that's crazy, but you see, I've lost a lot

0:34.5

of weight before. I had just never lost it and kept it off before.

0:38.7

And it's this whole keeping it off business that's like making it. It's like, yeah, yeah. It worked. It worked. Like I can do this. If I've kept it off this long now, I can keep keeping it off. No reason I can't. I've gone through some crazy things and I've been able to keep it off. I've gone through some crazy things.

0:54.8

I quit my career.

0:55.8

Started a new one, went to work for myself.

Somehow kept the weight off through all that stress. That was stressful. I've moved from one state to another. I've been in and out of relationships. I mean, I've had some emotional moments and have somehow managed to keep it all off. I'm with you a pandemic. You still manage to lose weight. You know, there's any obstacle I'm telling you, any obstacle that you're facing can be overcome. Now, I can think back to me just five years ago, any one of these obstacles would have certainly been enough to knock me down and keep me down, causing me regain the weight or cause me never to make it to the finish line. And you'll start to realize that the finish line is an illusion, is a mirage. There's no finish line. Seriously, there's no finish line. What do you think's going to happen when you get to the end when you hit your goal weight, your body, your dream body? What do you think is going to happen? You're not done. You'll, you'll, because you'll know when you get there, you'll have discovered, because you won't get there without having learned this, that it takes work to keep it. Like the body doesn't exist by mistake. It's got a whole maintenance program that comes with it. Like if I could just snap my fingers right now and give you the body of your dreams, how long would you be able to have it before you added 10 pounds to it?

2:04.6

And then 20, and then 30, and so on.

2:08.3

For many of you, and if you're like how I was in the past, it would have been almost immediately.

2:12.7

You would have been able to only enjoy that body in its peak state for a month, maybe two.

2:19.0

And then you slowly would have started to lose its fitness and add weight to it. And so that's why I'm really proud of the fact

2:24.7

I've been able to keep my weight off. And it also helps me know that what I teach and what I do,

2:30.9

it works. It works. Going slow, works. Not just addressing food,

2:39.3

but also working on your inner game, working on what goes on inside your mind, leveling up how

2:44.0

your relationship with yourself, it works. Learning about your body, learning how to use it.

2:50.7

Not just thinking his body is nothing more than to house your consciousness,

2:54.2

but the body is the vessel that you can use to go out and have the most amazing experiences of your life.
