How often do you battle with shame?

I know in my own life it unfortunately seems like a pretty regular occurrence.

The feeling that I'm not enough, I'm not good enough, and once again, I have failed.

Failed those I love, failed myself, but most of all the

feeling of failing God. And yet, the scripture declares there is now therefore no

condemnation for those who have received the gift of Jesus. Today, this guided prayer is anchored to centered on and connected to the greatest act of love in human history.

The cross, the crucifixion of Jesus Christ from Nazareth.

There was a sign over his head, and it said, this is the king of the Jews.

And though that sign was true, and yet not even big and grand enough, for he is the king of the whole earth.

The wonderful, gregarious, compassionate, empathetic king of all of humanity.

So in love with humanity he gave himself.

He knew no sin, The scripture declares Jesus became sin so that you and I

might become the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. If shame is a regular part of your life,

this guided prayer is for you. I'll say the scripture again, there is now,

because of Jesus right now in your life, therefore no condemnation, no shame, no guilt for those

who are in Jesus. Those who have put all of their sin into the finished work of the cross.

It is covered past, present, and future.

Let's start there.
