That was Jordan Mills, a young mother you're going to meet in today's episode.

It's a crisis that's been triggered by this pandemic and it's happening all over the country.

Last November, experts estimated that up to 14 million households were in danger of eviction.

In many ways, this pandemic has laid bare that delicate balancing acts so many people have been living.

From paycheck to paycheck, even before this pandemic.

In September of 2020, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention

issued a temporary order to halt evictions through the end of the year.

And then last week, President Trump signed the stimulus bill into law

that extends the ban on evictions until the end of January.

Now, you may have read about this in the newspaper and sometimes it sounds so cut and dry.

But in reality, these kinds of laws are a lifeline to people.
