Hello and welcome to Series 2 of Global Europe Unpacked.

I am your host, Will Murray, and in this series produced in collaboration with the City of the Hague,

we are going to be conducting several conversations on the future of Europe in the world.

This series runs alongside the Conference on the Future of Europe and in each episode

we'll look at a different issue or question facing a geostrategic European Union.

Our objective is to spark your interest in these issues and to encourage you to let your voice

be heard.

In our last series, I spoke to Robert Mikhail-F about what was happening with the Conference

on the Future of Europe, which at the time was not clear.

So now that this initiative is well underway, in this first episode, I shall speak to the

European Commission's Head of Representation in the Netherlands, Ddier-Herbert, about what's

happening and how you can get involved.

I'm then delighted to share my conversation with the Hague's deputy

mayor, Saskia Brownes, about what the city is doing at a local level for the conference

and why this is so important. So without further ado, let's get stuck in.
