| 0:33.3 | I referred to you in an article as the compliance whisperer, and a surprising number of people |
| 0:38.6 | seem to think that description was about right, which makes you sound both mysterious and |
| 0:43.9 | like the only person who could possibly do that job. So why don't you talk a little bit about |
| 0:50.0 | the selection process and your background and what you understood the job to be. |
| 0:56.6 | Well, it's a compliance whisperer. I like that, I have to say. I came from having done |
| 1:01.5 | compliance work in three different industries. I started with Microsoft as initially with them |
| 1:07.6 | doing work in the field in the Greater China region based in Beijing. |
| 1:11.6 | And then I moved from there to Pfizer in New York, running their international investigations |
| 1:17.6 | in different parts of the world. |
| 1:19.6 | And then I moved from there to the financial services sector, and I worked for a standard |
| 1:24.6 | charter bank in London. |
| 1:25.6 | So from those experiences, I was able to have a view of compliance as done both at |
| 1:31.8 | headquarter level and also at the field level and in different industries. |
