And so, Father, tonight we pray that as we turn to the Word of God, as we jump back in to our study tonight, we pray that you'd give us ears to hear what the Spirit of God is saying.

We ask the Lord, in Jesus' name, and all God's people said, amen.

Well, Church family, we're going to be picking it up. I'm not even going to ask you if you were here last week, because I might get discouraged.

But we're picking up in a second installment of this, and we're talking about the coming of the king.

If you've come in here tonight, we're talking about our applied series.

We just finished off not too long ago, the book of Hebrews on Wednesday nights,

and so we are now in a topical teaching about what does the Bible say to us about prophetic events, prophetic things. Listen, prophetic things like salvation, mind you.

The very doctrine of soteriology, that is the doctrine of salvation, comes out of biblical prophecy.

And then what about heaven itself? What about you and I being in heaven? Did you know

the hope of heaven that you have is based on Bible prophecy? Do you ever think about that? I think it's

safe to say that if 27 to 31% of the Bible is that which covers biblical prophecy, imagine, over a quarter of the Bible, then I think it's

safe to say that we're in a good topic as we look to the reliable truth of God's Word.

Again, you can always scan the notes to get them all down onto your device. But let's go to the

opening title and the opening theme verse for the entire

series, you guys. It's out of John chapter 14, verse 29, and it is a powerful declaration. It's one

that should not be wasted on any of us. We need to grab it. And we need to know this. Jesus said,

and now I have told you.

By the way, do you know what Jesus never said, thus say it the Lord?

All the great prophets of God said, thus sayeth the Lord.
