Today we are remembering a time, that time being 1992, one weekend specifically where superstar talents from comic books all gathered to film a series

of videos that would make their way into the public.

But at the same time, a select group of them would gather in Malibu, California, to announce

a plan to form a brand new company.

That weekend was a weekend that would change comic books forever and did, and we're going to discuss it today.

Today, it's all about the comic book greats on an all-new Robeservations.

Hey, everybody, welcome to another edition of Robeservations. I am your host, Rob Leifeld, and these are my

observations, hence the corny Rob observations handle. Did you know that I had a Robeservations

newsletter when I was a kid? I later made that the name of my column in a fan magazine that I did

with X amount of different fan members. They were called amateur press associations.

I think I've discussed this in the past.

But amateur press associations called APAs were huge in the 80s.

And I was able to join a couple of them.

One of them in particular was about the Teen Titans,

which was a favorite comic book of mine.

And the number one reason that I joined that was because the artist of the Teen Titans, George Perez,

drew a cover, drew an actual cover that DC would use two full years later.

But he drew a cover for the fan club. So I'm like, wow,

George Perez, who I had seen on the circuit, who I'd known gotten book signed from, I learned

because he had the originally said, this is a cover to the Teen Titan fan club, APA.

And in an APA, in an amateur press association everybody is
