listening to Politico's Nurdcast. Well, we're going to start off today like we started a number of episodes over the past few weeks.

We are talking about former FBI director James Comi.

We are taping, a rare afternoon taping of the nerd cast to accommodate former director

Komi's morning testimony to the one of the Senate committees investigating Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election.

So we're going to talk about what he had to say, particularly about President Donald Trump

and his interactions with him.

Besides that, we've got a lot of straight politics news this week.

We had a gubernatorial primary election in New Jersey on Tuesday.

We've got another one coming up next Tuesday on June 13th that a lot of analysts

and people watching it are saying says quite a bit about the future of the

Democratic Party so we'll talk a little bit about who the candidates there are

to be the next governor of Virginia and

why that race is garnering so much attention. And then we've got Georgia's special

House election creeping up on the horizon. That's coming up on June 20th. There was a big campaign finance

deadline today. Early voting is starting. We're going to go through all the numbers

there and just what's going on in a House race that has captured attention across the country.
