And for the next few, it's going to be me on my own, in fact, because I really want to try to explain as clearly as I can the colour theory that we work with all the time at Perch Hill. And I've already talked about this in the past, the four palettes

that I work with. I want to give a little bit more context and a bit more history of how that

whole system and sort of colour theory, if that's not too pompouser term, has evolved here,

both in my head, but also in experimenting at the garden at Perch Hill. With Josie and with all

our trials and with cut flowers and with pots

basically. So I'm just going to talk a bit about context first and sort of a bit of history and then

talk about the palettes and the colours that make up the four different palettes. So I think it is

quite good to have a little bit of history. And I guess

what I've realized in thinking and writing about this is as a child, I try and remember back to that

time and I really loved particularly an art shop. I was brought up in Cambridge and there was a rather wonderful

art shop that I think was owned by Heifers, which were the local bookshop. And I always was

sort of migrated to that shop when we weren't on a Saturday shopping outing. And I would then migrate to the corner where there would be great racks of coloured card.

And they were very colour coordinated.

And I mean, I don't remember the colours now.

I can't pretend that I do.
