Summary

What does “the cobbler’s kids have no shoes” actually mean? The idea behind this phrase is that someone with a specific skill, knowledge, or desire is often so busy assisting others that their own affairs go unattended. They fail to apply their expertise to the situations that they face and experience some consequences as a result How do we reconcile this concept with the saying “the more we give the more we receive”? To start, you can’t give to others what you don’t have for yourself. Forgiveness is a great example of something that you need to have for yourself first, in order to be forgiving of others. When it comes to receiving, our focus should be on appreciation and acknowledgment. When I say appreciation, I mean that you should try to add value to everything that you receive. You should also acknowledge what you’ve received and share your gratitude freely, especially for the things that others do not have. With the cobbler's kids have no shoes. Number one, I have a saying, don't get so busy,

0:40.3

you forget what you have. In other words, so many people take for granted what other people

0:46.6

are wishing for. They get so busy, inaccessible, inaccessible, they get so busy, they forget what they

have. And if we can make a practice of gratitude, then we can have the ability to not take for

1:01.8

going to what other people are wishing for or what we're wishing for. The idea behind cobbler's

often too busy assisting others that their own affairs go unintended. And I see this so many

affairs go unintended. And one of those affairs that go under tended is their health.

others, but then others have to take care of them or their wealth or their happiness or their

worthiness. And all three in four of those things are our specific things that we are so with good

intentions giving away that we don't take care of our own affairs. The cobbler's kids have no shoes.

And I want you to take inventory today of this and ask yourself, I need to receive and utilize

my skills for me. So then I can give it away with appreciation. So with the good intention of
