my pal Aaron Airport and I typically seek out and explore some of the more offbeat Canadian news stories from the past week.

But in tonight's episode, which we recorded on the moonlit evening of October 16th, 2022,

Aaron and I were overtaken by the spirit of Halloween. And as a result, we made a decision to focus the show's attention to one of Canada's weirdest and perhaps most terrifying periods of time.

Of course, I'm talking about the creepy clown scare of 2016. Let's get into it.

Creepy clown sightings have spiked nearly a dozen cases have been reported, but so far no one has been caught.

Police are warning today if you come across one to call them immediately. Alice in a woman was chased just last night.

Handsome Aaron Airport, it is my favorite time of year. It's almost Halloween, it's all Halo Zeeve almost.

All Halo Zeeve. Oh, how gothic of you. All Halo Zeeve. Does that mean like the evening of Halloween? All Halo Zeeve.

I always, I'm probably terribly wrong, but I always thought of it as like Christmas Eve. Like maybe the night before Halloween was all Halo Zeeve.

Okay, let's go with that. Sure. Yeah, even though they refer to that as Devil's Night. Yeah, you're supposed to do something nasty and naughty.

I am naughty. Oh, provocative. Well, I mean naughty in terms of like not bad, but kind of let the listeners use their imaginations as to what you feel naughty is.

Well, the type of prank I'm thinking. What is the name for this? I was watching a show with my son the other day.

And someone actually we were watching old Saturday night live skits. And someone knocks on the door and they go to answer the door. And there's a little paper bag on fire in the owner of the house stomps out the paper bag and realizes there's like dog poop in it.

That was my son had like never heard of this prank before he had no idea what was going on. And I had to explain it to him that like people used to do that as like a prank.

Wasn't there a name for that? I don't remember having a specific name other than like a birthday. Let's burn a bag of feces at my neighbor's door and watch them stomp it out from the bushes at old man airports.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, but but the catch is is old man airport wants the poop on his shoe.

Oh, the actual trick is on you youngsters.

Well, those types of pranks I think are long gone pranks nowadays need to be kind of like social media content friendly. And that's kind of a segue into what we're going to get into.
