Summary
There was an old legend outside Stockton, California, about a strange church sitting alone in the middle of miles of farmland. People claimed something unusual happened there if you drove past the property a certain way at night—but most dismissed it as another small-town story meant to scare teenagers.
One night, four friends decided to find out for themselves. The plan was simple: drive out there, prove the legend was fake, and head home with a good story to laugh about later.
But the farther they got from town, the stranger the night became. What started as curiosity slowly turned into confusion, then fear, as things began happening none of them could easily explain away. And by the time they finally left the church behind them, the group realized they weren’t arguing over whether the legend was real anymore.
They were trying to figure out what actually happened out there that night.
