When I first became a political journalist,

I remember heading to Ten Downing Street,

going into the basement for those extraordinary briefings by Alistair Campbell,

and one of the joys he had was taunting us when we asked him about Tony Blair's worst week ever,

with the number of worst weeks ever that Tony Blair had.

My memory suggests he got to 52.

Well, Theresa May's not been Prime Minister long enough to get quite that many,

but surely, surely, this one would top the list for now.

And if losing two Cabinet Ministers isn't bad enough,

if an inquiry into a third isn't bad enough,

if questions about sexual harassment and secret forum policies,

and Iran aren't enough, there is of course still our old friend Brexit.

People thought they were buying a shiny new Audi with all the added extras,

they're now sitting in the car, it's actually not an Audi,

it's a clapped out old banger and it might break down.

At that point, do we go actually we should give the people the option of not buying the car anymore.
