Well, it was shaping up to be an awesome slate of Christmas games. And in large part, that's what took place. I thought there were three games that I am extremely interested to talk about in terms of what happened on the floor. And I would say four of the games have some pretty major implications. Maybe you could even say five, although one of them is

possibly because of an injury. So let's get rolling here. I think I want to start with San Antonio

and OKC because of just what this last two weeks has meant that this could be something we look

back. And I don't want to overreact, but I don't want to under react either either. We may look at this as a seminal moment for the San Antonio Spurs and maybe even for the

Oklahoma City Thunder as well.

It's definitely possible.

I mean, the Oklahoma City Thunder now are 26 and 5 and three of those five losses have

been to the San Antonio Spurs inside.

I believe it's 12 days. And I think there are

there are definitely, you know, parts of it that are, you know, the ebbs and flows of a game,

the Thunder shot 11 to 44 from long range. There, that you would expect to improve if you

ran this back and everything else. But the number that I want to

start with here, and I'll be interested to see if you have the same thought is the points per

half court play. And so in this game, the San Antonio Spurs, and I think both of these numbers are

extremely important. The San Antonio Spurs, 1.04 points per half court play against what is still one of the league's best defenses relative to opponents in NBA history.

And the Oklahoma City Thunder, 0.75 points per half court offensive play.

Yeah, that is pretty remarkable.

And I think the first of those two numbers is perhaps

more interesting to me because you would think that, yeah, you know what? The Spurs got Victor

Wem and Yama and OKC for all their brilliance. They don't really have a Steph Curry, right? Steph

really caused problems for Victor and the Spurs. We saw in those two games that happened earlier this year that were just so awesome that some of the games of the year, in my opinion, but the Thunder are still built on the driving of Shagull just Alexander. And while he is a mid-range master, if he doesn't really have the option of getting all the way to the rim, then that just changes the geometry for him.
