This podcast is going to cover the cell cycle.

And so I'm going to talk about what the cell cycle is and what it does.

And really dig into the different phases of a cell cycle.

There's two, which is going to be interphase and the mitotic phase.

And each of these, of course, is broken down into different stages that I'll talk about.

And then I'll talk about regulation of the cell cycle, which is important to understand.

And then lastly, I'll talk

about a few applications in terms of diseases that the cell cycle is involved in. And this is really

just to kind of help you remember some of these concepts. If you can somehow tie these concepts

into a disease that you already have some in understanding of, then you're more likely to recall it on the MCAT.

And this material is likely to show up in one of the four MCAS sections

that's going to be the bio-biocem section.

So the cell cycle is a series of events that a cell undergoes that involves both growth and cell division that produces two new daughter cells. And as you'll come to see,
