Welcome to our Rosary meditation and Merry Christmas Eve.

The same father who sent me a text last night that his six-year-old son

knelt with him during the entire rosary, sent me another text this evening saying that our Rosary tonight ended with our four-year-old

punching her three-year-old sister in the back for taking her Christmas book.

I think it's a moral victory.

At our house, we often prayed combat rosary,

made up our own meditations.

The agony in the living room, the scourging in the hallway,

the crowning on the head, the imprisonment in the bedroom.

We can meditate on anything.

Let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

And let's call to mind all those we've promised to pray for, especially uniting our Rosary with the thousands of Rosary that are being

prayed for the innumerable loved ones for their deeper conversion and health and well-being and

mind, body, and soul.

24 hundred years ago the Greek philosopher Plato wrote the allegory of the cave, in which a group of prisoners are combined in a cave from birth with no knowledge of the outside world.

They are chained facing a wall unable to turn their heads,

while a fire behind them gives off a faint light. Occasionally, people pass by the fire carrying objects that cast shadows on the wall.

The prisoners named these illusions believing they are seeing real things and not mere shadows. Suddenly one prisoner is freed.
