Slatton is the host of the Award-Winning podcast & YouTube show All Home Care Matters. He is also a senior case manager at Enriched Life Home Care Services in Livonia, MI.

Lance was named as "50 under 50" for 2023 and received the distinction as the Top Influencer for Healthcare and Advocacy for 2024. About Sharon's Son, George:

Dr. George Ackerman (Sharon’s son) is from Brooklyn, N.Y. Now residing in Florida, he works in the fields of law, police, and education. George lost his mother, Sharon Riff Ackerman on 1/1/2020 due to Parkinson’s Disease.

George wanted to honor his mother and continue to help in the Parkinson’s awareness cause and did not know how to bring change. George started TogetherForSharon® as a family for the purpose of keeping his mother, Sharon Riff Ackerman’s, memory alive and to share the message of Parkinson’s Awareness and hope for a cure.

0:53.3	Welcome, Christina. How are you?
0:55.8	I am great. I'm so excited to be here today with you too. Always great to see you. Christina,
1:01.1	before we start and get into the questions, why don't you take a brief moment and just share with the
1:04.9	viewers and listeners who may not be familiar with you a little bit of your backstory.
1:10.4	Okay. Well, I was in tech for many years, had a great career, and then March 16th of 2013,
1:19.0	I got a call that my mother had had a stroke, and I walked into that hospital, not knowing
1:25.2	if I was going to have to be leaving to make funeral
1:27.6	arrangements or with my mother, I wound up leaving being a family caregiver.
1:31.7	And that lasted for 10 years.
1:33.9	And through that journey, I had to leave my career, recreate a career, and I saw the struggles
1:39.6	that family caregivers went through that I went through with my mother, created a nonprofit, started
1:45.2	advocating all across the United States. My mother passed in 2022, and she made me promise to
1:53.9	continue my work advocating for families because she didn't want families to go through it we went
1:58.8	through. Yeah. We're glad to have you here.
2:02.4	And family caregivers are lucky to have you doing the advocacy that you're doing.
