As a 24-year-old Marine Corps officer, Seth Moulton led an infantry platoon into Baghdad

during the 2003 invasion of Iraq.

He would serve four tours in Iraq that included some of the bloodiest fighting of the war,

in places like Nazaria and Najaf, names of Iraqi towns that once rolled off the tongue

but are barely remembered today by most Americans.

It was this formative experience of leading Americans in combat that would set him on a

course of public service.

In 2014, Moulton ran for Congress from Massachusetts in one.

He was a man and a hurry, and a bit of an upstart.

It wasn't long before Moulton was agitating for new Democratic leadership in the house,

calling for Nancy Pelosi's ouster as minority leader, and generational change in a party

that he believed was drifting too far to the left.

But in 2018, the Democrats took back the House and re-elected Pelosi as Speaker.

That apparently has been deterred Moulton.

He thinks he's found another way to bringing about a changing of the guard in the Democratic

party.

He's running for president and he sees a path to the White House.

His argument, Donald Trump's biggest vulnerability is national security, and Moulton's combat

experience in Iraq and foreign policy expertise gives him the best chance of defeating Trump.
