Well, last year, the theme of my interviews was living a photographic life, and this year

I've decided to focus on personal or long-term projects.

I have a great affinity for these, and I thought that it would provide a great opportunity

to discuss the work being produced by the great photographers we have an opportunity to speak

with on the show.

In the coming months, I hope that we gain some insight into what the camera is capable

of being used for beyond just the individual image,

and what's involved in a photographer making a commitment to a particular story or idea.

As you hear these photographers and stories and see their images, I think you'll discover

some great insight that will inspire you and teach you of different ways of making use of that camera you hold in your hand.

Today's guest is a perfect example of this.

Uni Krishna Ravindranathan, or Uni, for short, is a photographer who I met several years ago

while participating in a workshop with Black Bluets Inc in Mexico.

He identifies himself as a student of photography, but in the

short time I've been looking at his work, I have to say I have learned a lot myself. He is an

exceptional talent behind the camera, particularly when it comes to telling stories. His recent work in

India is amazingly powerful, and I think that the work you will be producing in the future will be exceptional.
