Hi, this is IvarianX, and welcome to another episode of the Candid Frame.

Now, the show is called The Candid Frame a Photography podcast, and yeah, we spend a lot of time talking to photographers, but this show isn't exclusively about photography.

For me, the show is really about making choices, about making the most out of life.

In life, there are people that allow life to sort of come to them and things sort of just happen. And there are a lot of people who make the choice to do

something, to make something happen. And I think that the great majority of the people that

I've interviewed on the show are the latter. They're the people who make a choice to do something and more often

than not, it doesn't always turn out as planned, but that's part of the great thing about it.

There's some unexpected and some wonderful things that can happen just as a result of just

making the choice to not only follow your passion, but just to do something

different and just to see what the result is. And today's guest, John Ellis and Laura Preston,

are an example of that. They are the Democratic travelers. John Ellis is a photographer

who was working for a Jamiesel for a number of years, and he and Laura took on

this journey to travel around the country in a truck pulling an airstream. And it's an adventure

that a countless number of people have always imagined themselves doing, but this couple is actually

doing it.
