Though a lot of people aspire to become professional photographers, few have the determination to really see it through and make it happen.

Because beyond learning the technical aspects of photography, there's another part of it that involves being able to run your own business.

And the challenges that you face there in terms of procuring clients, writing invoicing,

doing all the paperwork, and just marketing yourself as a photographer is dawning for many

people, which is why even though there are a lot of people who dream about doing photography,

it doesn't result in a lot of

people actually doing it. And today's guest, Jonathan Hansen, is a guy who I met six or seven

years ago when he was first starting out in his goal to be a professional photographer. And I'm

pleased to say that he succeeded in many ways. And I wanted to sit down and talk with him about the various

aspects about his photography business and his photography career that revolve outside of

making pictures. Though we do touch on some of the images that he's made over the last several

years, particularly some of the personal projects that he's working on, I thought it would be a

valuable opportunity to share with you photographers out there who are interested or are already

involved in trying to make a career as a commercial editorial photographer, some insights

into what it takes today to make it a go as a pro photographer.
