Welcome back to Smart Girl Summer. Today, we're with my coaching client and dear friend Kelly Pelfrey. She is a gifted artist. I have nicknamed her the modern Monet, even though as you'll see, that really makes her blush. Since Kelly and I started working together, she has tripled her income while building a life that feels just as balanced and beautiful as the art she creates.

Okay, let's dive in with my friend and my client, Kelly.

Kelly, when people say, what do you do? How do you describe it to them?

I tell them, I am a professional artist, and I primarily create original paintings that I ship

to clients all over the country, and they're mostly

custom, again, they're custom works. And I tell people that I also create prints of my work and

frame TV art, and that I have an impressionistic style, which means a lot of loose brushstrokes, a big emphasis on light,

and then I'm trying to create a sense of nostalgia with my pieces, and that I definitely want my work to be

heavily focused on memories or something that's being meaningful

to my clients. I love that. Now, I have jokingly referred to you as a modern Monet.

How would you describe it if you had to say a little bit of this, a little bit of that?

Okay. Well, yes, that's like the highest praise. I would say a little bit

of Monet and like color palette choices truly. He had, you know, of course, thick paint, visible

brushstrokes. So yes, a little bit of that. There's some of my pieces have some extra thick paint

that would be kind of like post-impressionism. So you might think

about how thick. I'm trying to think of ours that everybody knows like, Bango, where some of his

pieces that have extra thick paint. But as far as subject matter goes, it's going to range from
