Marathon watch companies, Mitchell Ween, is the sion of a Canadian family watch

business that supplies timepieces and timing instruments to governments and militaries around the

world. It's a very different business model from most of the watch brands we cover, and governments

are a very different customer than your average watch

consumer. But first, I'm joined by Houdickey's editor-in-chief, James Stacey, to talk about some of

the business news making headlines in the watch world. James, good morning to you. Welcome and thanks for joining me. How are we doing today?

Yeah, I'm doing really well. Thanks for having me on, Andy. A big fan of the show.

Well, that's good. You would get executive producer or creator credit, I think, on the business of watches.

So good to have you on board.

So look, you're just back this week from Tokyo, where you got to see and experience the Louis Vuitton by DeBithune, the LVDB-Z3L-LUrius project.

Now, this is a wild watch, and there's also a clock, too.

So, you know, tell me, and our audience, what it was like in person, and what is LV doing

with these collaborations with independent watchmakers?

I mean, previously we've seen them do pieces with Kari Vuta Linen and Rekshapi.

How does this help LV's watch business and brand, do you think?

Yeah, I mean, I think there's a lot to unpack in that because I think what they're doing here isn't unheard of, but is being done in a very modern sense.

You know, obviously the, the watches division is being led by a very young man, a very capable young man.

I'm old enough now where I get to say stuff like that.
