Welcome to strangers from KCW and Radiotopia. I'm Leah Tao. And today, instead of one big story, we have two smaller stories for you, representing different stages in a love relationship as we continue our summer of love here on strangers.

The first story, well, you know what?

Let's just get straight into it.

Here are Seth and Nina telling the story about what happened with them.

It was a summer after my first year of law school, and I was living at home at my parents

in Montclair, New Jersey.

I was 19 years old, and I was just finishing high school in Denmark and I wanted to travel.

I didn't have a lot of money.

So one of the options was to become an up here in Montclair, New Jersey, in America.

A good friend of mine called me one day to say that his mother somehow had gotten some tickets to the Sting concert in New York.

I was going into the city with a friend to see Sting.

And we took the 66 bus into the city.

We got on the bus, and out of the corner of my eye, I saw this striking young woman.

There was almost a glow to her.

On the way in, the bus actually breaks down.

And so we all had to clamor off the bus at the side of the highway.

And as we get off the bus, who's standing right next to me, but the beautiful young woman

that I had spotted when I had first gotten on the bus.

I noticed that it was actually a very cute guy.

I'm thinking to myself, I really should say hello.

But I felt a little bit shy, and I just couldn't get up the nerve to do anything.

So we didn't say a word to each other.
