Summary

Lea revisits her own love life. Two years ago, Lea produced “Love Hurts,” a series about her ill-fated adventures in online dating. Lea had been online dating for four years since she’d found herself single with an infant in her late 30s. The same week the first “Love Hurts” episode went live, Lea met a man, and a year ago, they posted an anniversary episode they'd recorded for the one-year anniversary of their meeting and of the Love Hurts series. Now they're back with a two-year anniversary update, and things don't turn out as planned. To say the least.

The original Love Hurts series had four epsiodes which were dowloaded millions of times and was the most popular series Lea has ever created. 0:10.1	And today's story is one that I've been living in my own life this past month.
0:16.3	A few weeks ago, I decided to tape an update with my boyfriend about our relationship.
0:21.4	And the conversation which you'll hear today sparked the biggest conflict of our relationship to date.
0:27.1	Mostly in the aftermath, which became a week-long fight.
0:31.4	But it's weird because it started in a very different place.

0:43.8	No, yeah, I mean, it sounds like I'm joking, but we are.
0:47.6	I have so much less fear about being in a relationship with you than I did.

0:57.8	kids and talking about buying a house and, you know, like now it's just the fear is gone.
1:07.7	So yeah, in the stages of love, Paul and I represent that stage where your first time around trying to make a family with someone didn't work out, and now you're trying to do it again.
1:19.9	We both have kids from our previous relationships. I have one and he has two, and we're exactly two years into our relationship now, and we've been talking
1:29.1	about moving in together and fully integrating our lives. And when we taped this wine-fueled
1:35.3	conversation one night after dinner in Paul's Yard, we had just returned from a magical
1:41.2	vacation with our three kids. You know, it had been one of those totally dreamy,
1:46.4	everything you hope for kind of weeks,
1:48.7	and I don't think he and I had ever been closer or more in love.
1:53.1	So as we embarked on our conversation under the stars that night,
1:56.7	it felt as if there wasn't a fear or a doubt left between us.
