It is time for the NFL season.

I will talk a lot about that today and sort of what goes on right now.

And I think giving you a behind the scenes look at what really goes on in the NFL

and then some news items that came out of this week.

It's a busy time because we're in that last week of the off season.

And yes, training camp, everything's the off season to me until kickoff

on Thursday night a week from today as we record this on the 29th. And that means a lot of

lingering contract issues. That means a lot of cuts that I'll talk about in a minute. And that means

setting your team. And what happens,

finally at this time, and it's the first time since January, where the teams are turned over

from the front offices, basically, to the coaches. Now, I know there's been training camp,

but this is the real time. Because from February to August, these teams are really the province of the front office.
