This week, Donald Trump Jr. released email correspondence from June 2016, just after Trump

secured the Republican nomination, that shows him eagerly agreeing to meet with a Russian

lawyer who promised dirt from the Russian government on Hillary Clinton. Jared Kushner,

who oversaw the campaign's digital operations, attended the meeting,

as did Paul Manafort, the former campaign director.

It was a year ago this month that Trump claimed he had nothing to do with Putin and encouraged

the Russians to look into the subject of Hillary Clinton's private emails.
