This time, menstruation at work.

How do you talk about it if you talk about it?

And I said, you know, I've got this thing called endometriosis.

This is what it is.

I'm going to probably have major surgery.

And he was like, huh, okay.

And he didn't seem phased by the fact that it was about periods, to his credit.

But not all men are comfortable with the topic.

It was like a 10-member, all-white, middle-aged male group of angel investors. I'm the only girl in the room.

I was 22 at the time. And, you know, selling them on why period underwear is a good investment.

And why women tend to go through menopause quietly.

If we are acknowledging menopause, we're acknowledging that aging happens and that,

you know, there's life after fertility and that's still scary to us somehow. Coming up,

our bodies are work. We can't divorce the two, even if our workplace wishes otherwise.
