The first listener voicemail that we're going to play for you comes from Debbie and she's

referencing an article in the New York Times entitled A Confession of Liberal Intolerance.

That article is a really interesting look at how academia perceives conservative ideology

and the writer talks about how when he posed the question is there some discrimination

against conservative and evangelical Christian ideas in academia he got responses that sort

of proved that thesis out one that stuck out to me with someone saying hey let's make

academia more inclusive by starting to hire idiots.

So it was a really aggressive response and the author noted that in a lot of disciplines

it's easier to find someone who professes to be Marxist instead of it's easier to find

a Marxist than a Republican.
