love that guy when he popped up in stranger things i was like man i love this guy and then when he

popped up in the boys i'm like oh it's a guy i love from stranger things he was great but yeah

overall an episode i'm interested to get your thoughts aaron because i i've been resisting a lot of

the criticisms that this season is getting,

talking about vault rising and how so much of it is setting up a prequel show and that it's taking away from ending this show.

And I feel like this is the episode where that criticism mostly applies.

And it's weird because I'm in a spot where I enjoyed the new character

bombsite and his interactions with the boys, with Soldier Boy, his dilemma. But I'm also

really frustrated by some of the characters in this episode and kind of the seasons that they've

had so far. And I think it's specifically with Butcher and also maybe with Sage.

There were some great scenes in this episode, one specifically with the legend in Homelander.

But overall, I think it may have been the weakest of the season, even though it had a great ending that I really wanted to see.

Yeah, I think when it comes to like, especially with the Soldier Boy and Bombside thing, it's like, it feels like a payoff of something that we don't know about. Yeah, that we're going to look back on this. Like, yeah, if like, we're like, wow, it's all coming to, like, they played it like it's a character we've followed for multiple seasons and we

understand his relationship with soldier boy and that's just not the case i it's just a new guy

and like in the context of a season finale for this show i feel like it didn't really fit well not a

season finale but a series finale it just didn't seem like it fit too well. No, no, it didn't. Very much. And it's becoming like Marvel in a sense where at first it was a

parody, but now it's setting up other franchises. And once again, I gave them a pass with GenVe,

because I really liked Gen V. And then them canceling GenVee, it almost was like in response to that criticism. You know, those characters aren't going to fucking matter in the last season of the boys. It doesn't matter if you watched GenV. And that's what they promised to begin with, even though it looks like they reneged on that. And now it's a double renege. It's so strange, too, like, a lot of stuff that's happening right now, Marie
