Summary
In a small Ontario town, nearly every building was destroyed by a massive fire decades ago. One house remained standing.
Built in 1920, it still carries steep staircases, original woodwork, and a walk-in closet that has never felt quite right. The door opens on its own at night. The temperature drops without explanation. During the day it’s manageable. After dark, it feels different.
Then came the radio turning on by itself. The pets reacting to something at the stairs. The overwhelming instinct to get out. Eventually, curiosity led her to dig into the house’s past — and what she uncovered made it impossible to ignore that uneasy feeling she’d had from the beginning.
Sometimes you feel something long before you know why. The question is… what was in that house before she was?
