Hello, and welcome to another edition of the Byron York Show, the no-chit-chat podcast.

0:09.8

We'd like to get right to it, and what we're going to get to today is the border crisis,

0:15.2

the continuing border crisis, the never-ending border crisis.

0:20.4

Obviously, if you watch much news, reports are dominated by reporting on what's happening

0:27.9

on the Russia-Ukraine border by Russia's threat to Ukraine by increasing fatigue with

0:34.8

COVID restrictions around the country and by the continuing rise of inflation.

1:47.3

in January, 2020, when the number of illegal border crossers encountered was 36,585.

1:56.2

So this is a bad trend.

1:58.2

2021 was double, 2020, and 2022 was double, 2021.

2:05.9

So it goes from 36,000 illegal border crosser encounters in January, 2020, 36,000, and then

2:13.9

it goes up to 78,000 in January, 2021, and then it goes up to 153,000 just a few days
