Welcome to politics by faith. I'm Mike Slater. We have a special edition for you today. A couple months back on the TV show, we recorded a special on the book of Genesis. We did every book from the Torah. Last week, we reintroduced Exodus. And today, I want to play for you, Genesis.

And the point of doing this is because these are really, really old books and there's a lot

of wisdom in there, obviously.

And it's just, I just want to give you enough to inspire you to go back and read them again.

Because they're true.

And we know that what we're doing is not working. what do we need to do we got to go back to

basics we got to get back to the basics uh well where do you do that the beginning

Genesis in the beginning so we have an intro and then we talk with a rabbi about the great men of Genesis.

And then we talk with the great Dr. Stephen Meyer from the Discovery Institute about creation.

Because I think it's important that we have a conviction about creation, the creation of the world, the creation of us.

I think it's like the popular thing for Christians to say that creation, to go with the world's view on creation. I'll leave it there

and not have a conviction on that. But I just feel like if you don't have a conviction on that,

then how can you have a conviction on the rest of the Bible? So we talk with Dr. Meyer on that. He's the best person on this. It's really an honor to talk to him.

Genesis has it all. Genesis has incest, betrayal, murder, the first two brothers.

That's everything. It has all the worst stuff in the world because that's human nature.

It's all there.
