Last year I went through an unemployment stretch, which isn't unusual, if I'm being honest.

It's the plight of the writer, feast and famine. For every year of work, there's a bunch of months with a whole lot of nothing.

Anyway, during these dry spells, I try to fill my time.

So I was fixing up just about everything in my house that wasn't nailed down.

Could have been using that time to rest, recharge, but I didn't feel like I'd earned it.
