Would you turn, please, to Genesis Chapter 3.

We've been on a subject for some weeks now that we've been calling the blame game.

The blame game.

And we don't just say that because, you know, we thought it sounded cute.

To say it that way, blame is what we've been talking about.

And game, one of the definitions of a game is something that is dishonest, some ruse, some, you know,

scheme that someone is trying to do, and dishonesty is involved in blaming others many times.

In the third chapter and the seventh verse of Genesis, we see after Adam and Eve had disobeyed

and eaten of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil that God commanded them not to.

Their eyes were opened.

They knew they were naked.

They sewed fig leaves together and made themselves aprons.

You see, the first thing that mankind did, man and woman did, when they fell as they tried to hide, tried to cover and hide

what had happened. Verse 8, they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden of the

cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves. They tried to cover themselves, then they

tried to hide themselves from the presence of the

Lord God amongst the trees of the garden. That is the effects and result of sin consciousness.

Sin consciousness causes one to draw back and to fear, but righteousness consciousness

causes one to be bold and draw near.

Only in Christ and through the power of the blood of the spotless lamb, can we get rid of a guilty conscience or a conscience that bothers us?

So instead of running away from God and trying to hide and cover up things,

we come to God.
