Would you turn with me in the scripture again to Genesis, the third chapter? We've been on a topic

for some weeks now that we've been calling the blame game, the blame game. And we'll actually be

talking some more about that title in just a few moments.

But let's look at our text in Genesis chapter 3 and about verse 7, Genesis 3 and 7.

This is the story of Adam and Eve and the fall.

When they ate of the forbidden fruit, the eyes of them both were open, they knew that they

were naked, they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves aprons.

They tried to cover up what had happened.

Verse 8.

They heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day,

and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God

amongst the trees of the garden.

Then the Lord God called to Adam.

He said, where are you?

And Adam said, I heard your voice in the garden.

I was afraid because I was naked and I hid myself.

I mean you just stop here.

It's always a mistake, always always a mistake to run from God. It's always a mistake to try to

hide something from God. You know, when the Lord told Jonah to go preach to Nine of them,

well, he went and bought a ticket on a boat going the other direction and fled from the presence

of God.

Well, you read the rest of the book, the little book, it didn't work out.
