Genesis 3, we've been on a subject for some weeks now that we're calling.

Anybody remember the title or?

The blame game. Thank you. The blame game. And we see back in Genesis our first parents,

Adam and Eve, didn't listen to God.

Now, we can't fall at them or throw any stones at them because you've done the same thing.

All of us have sinned and come short of the glory of God.

But we see what happened to them the moment they did.

In Genesis 3.7, when they ate of the fruit,

the eyes of them both were opened and they knew that they were naked. They sewed fig leaves

together and made themselves aprons. How many think that probably didn't look very good?

Didn't do a very good job either.

How durable is a fig leaf outfit?

You don't want to get caught in the rain.

You don't want to stretch it too much, but this is a picture of man's effort to clove himself and take care of himself and fix

his problem. It's pitiful. And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the

cool of the day. Adam and his wife hit themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden.

They had never done this before.

They had always met him and communed with him and something terribly different has happened.

Verse 9, the Lord God called to Adam.

He said, where are you? And he said, I heard your voice in the

garden. I was afraid fear because I was naked and I hit myself. Sin consciousness allows fear in.

That's why in order to get rid of fear, we have to become righteousness conscious.
