December 18th. I think this will always be known as the lost year in Hollywood. Partially because

of the writers and actor strikes literally shut down the industry from May through November, more than six months of this year. But even before the strikes, most

people knew we were headed in that direction. There was a lot of stockpiling and reluctance

to start shooting projects that producers feared to be cut off mid-shoot. That strike was clearly

the debacle of the year in Hollywood. Billions in jobs and

revenue lost. The entire industry disrupted in ways that I don't think are even being appreciated

quite yet. But today for our Hollywood debacles of the year episode, we're going beyond the strike.
